Love the One You’re With 1

Love the one you’re with.  I mean really – love the one you’re with but not in the manner of the lyrics from the song, “If you can’t be with the one you love, love the one you’re with.” by Crosby, Stills & Nash.*  That is opportunistic love.  I’m talking real love.  Committed love. No, I mean, truly love the one you’re with, the one you’ve chosen.  Love her.  Love him.  Just love.  Just love. Just love.

Time = love for children. For adults we need loving actions…love-in-action.

(I will be posting new and previously published posts about love, luv, loovve in honor of my son’s marriage on May 20, 2017.)

*Love the One You’re

Concentration slips away
Because your baby is so far away
Well there’s a rose in a fisted glove
And the eagle flies with the dove
And if you can’t be with the one you love, honey
Love the one you’re with
You gotta love the one you’re with [Repeat: x3]
Don’t be angry, don’t be sad
Don’t sit crying talking good times you’ve had
Well there’s a girl sitting right next to you
And she’s just waiting for something to do
Well there’s a rose in a fisted glove
And the eagle flies with the dove
And if you can’t be with the one you love, honey
Love the one you’re with
You gotta love the one you’re with
You gotta love the one you’re with
Oh yea oh yea, yea
Lord, love the one you’re with
You gotta
