On a rainy, dreary Monday morning, I thought I’d share this bit of wisdom I overheard while waiting on a bus recently. (I’m attempting to clean up all most of the papers on my desk so I can find some notes I lost.) In the process I found the following that I’d written on a scrap of paper.) I wrote this down as I was hearing it. Profanity included because that’s how it was delivered.
“I don’t know how you wake up in the morning and be evil. (The guy who said it had spoken to a woman who rebuffed him.) You ought to be happy when you wake up. When I wake up in the morning, I’m a happy motherf****r ‘cause I woke up. Some people don’t wake up. They wake up dead. When I wake up, I’m happy ‘cause I woke up. I got people who love me and even if I didn’t, I love my motherf***ing self.”
I couldn’t have delivered this message more powerfully – so here you go – my Monday ray of sunshine!
