Some “ings” in my life and on my mind 9

I’ve been having some “ings” in my life and on my mind.  Here we go:

Learning how to love.  Learning how to listen. Learning how to focus.  Learning how to believe.  Learning how to let go.  Learning how to be delighted.  Learning how to accept.

Appreciating love. Appreciating comfort. Appreciating husband, children, grandchildren, family, friends and acquaintances.  Appreciating one more day, if I may…how ‘bout 30 years more?

Noticing the clouds. Noticing the first buds of each of the Christmas cactus in our home (thank you plant man).  Noticing what has changed and what remains the same.

Discovering a new street, a new store, a new neighbor, a new way to style these same clothes in a new way. Discovering a fabulous place to eat, a skill a friend had but hid.

Finding a bargain.  Finding a long forgotten story and lyrics started for a song that somebody somewhere should sing, finding a short cut one day and a longer scenic route another day that elevates your commute…

Leaning into the chores, into the pile – one paper from one box at one time and eventually the box is cleared and a stack dwindles then disappears. Leaning into the flurry and the hurry of the holidays. Leaning into his shoulder and the warmth of his embrace.

I received this from an Uber driver mid-December 2018. What a lovely experience this was. Thank you.

Giving what I can and sometimes more than I should – time, money, service, and opinions. Giving what I choose – time, money, service, and advice.  Giving-in to my place in this circle of life.  Giving up wasting time.  Giving just because I can, I should and it feels so good.

Believing that good will triumph over evil.  Believing that we be together again.  Believing that it will happen for me and beloved others. Believe thing someone will read this post and find it relevant.

Being still, being positive, being human, being woman…just being.

Hoping that the work I’ve done, speaks for me.

Praying and planning for just a bit more time…
