Handling Rejection is an inspirational essay I’ve written. It was originally inspired by a heart-wrenching phone call I received from my son after he’d failed to get a part he auditioned for. He’d been called back twice and virtually told the part was his. He’d reached the end-of-his-rope and was ready to abandon his goal of being a professional actor.
I didn’t want him to give up his dream. I don’t want anyone to give up their dreams (including me). After writing the essay I realized that it had value for others and have received positive feedback from people I’ve shared it with.
Handling Rejection is for anyone who has to sell her or himself during a job search, audition or other process, and consequently face rejection. Nothing succeeds but a try. This essay provides encouragement to help you keep trying until you reach your goal.

Congratulations, what a wonderful achievement and thing to do for your son and now others. We all face rejection and it is very hard to get back up and keep going sometimes. I think the brochure will do well. I will put a link to it on one of my future posts too.
Thank you for leaving such an affirming comment and saying that you will link to it. Give how popular your blog is that would be wonderful.
Here a link to Lilly’s blog, Lilly’s Life. She has wit, warmth, irreverence and directness. I am crossing my fingers (and toes) that the brochure will sell.
All the best!
