Say: thank you. Write: Thank you.
It’s not so hard to do, is it?
Two simple words that mean a lot.
- For the gift
- For the recommendation.
- For that wonderful meal.
- For listening.
- For the loan (repayment enclosed)
- For the experience.
- For last night.
- For loving me.
- For raising me.
- For the photo.
- For doing your chores without being asked.
- For all those things you do that keep this family, house, office, company going.
- For noticing.
- For the compliment.
- For being in my life.
- For volunteering.
- For showing up.
- For doing what you said you would.
- For being.
A thank you is always appreciated, never comes too late even if long overdue.
It doesn’t have to be lengthy. Got it? Do it.

..and thank you! As a child I never quite
understood the need for thanks yous – it was just something expected.Then
I became a spouse,a parent and a member of various communities and understood! As you say, it doesn’t take much time, but it makes ALL the difference.
A wonderful reminder to all of us. We can never say thank you enough.
This brings to mind a vacation in Western Mass a couple of summers ago. The Crane paper museum in Dalton has a souvenir pamphlet on how to write a thank you note (of course they want you to use Crane paper. They now have a .pdf you can download and their example is written to Barbara!
